For 10 years, the veterinarians and staff at County Line Veterinary Hospital in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, have offered pet surgery and lab services. Trust the veterinarians and staff at our veterinary clinic to give your pet the personal attention it deserves.

Advancements in Pet Surgery

Advancements in veterinary care mean that your pet's surgical procedures are far safer than ever before and, in most cases, recovery times are significantly reduced. Our clinic has a complete surgery suite and is dedicated to providing your pet with the highest quality care and the most compassionate approach.

Laser Surgery for your Pet

County Line Veterinary Hospital is also able to offer laser pet surgery for a number of soft tissue procedures such as spays, neuters, and mass removals. This type of surgery minimizes bleeding, reduces pain and swelling, and promotes more rapid healing.

When your pet undergoes laser surgery, he or she recovers more quickly and feels less post-operative pain. Finally, laser surgery is more precise and greatly reduces the risk of infection.

Anesthesia and Monitoring

Anesthesia and cardiovascular monitoring are integral aspects of every pet surgery performed. For this reason, your pet has access to the best and most advanced anesthetic administration and cardiovascular monitoring equipment and protocols available.

During anesthesia and pet surgery, Dr. Heitzman and a veterinary technician constantly monitor your pet, using our advanced monitoring system. This system monitors the arterial oxygen level, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and core body temperature. We also use a temperature-controlled surgery table or temperature-controlled water blanket to maintain a proper body temperature.

Lab Services

Preventative medicine and diagnosing emergent internal health issues requires the ability to perform a wide range of lab tests on blood, urine, feces, and biopsied tissue. Without timely access to precise laboratory test results, it is difficult to make an accurate diagnosis or assessment of your pet's health.

Echocardiogram

Echocardiograms are specialized ultrasound images of the heart that are far more precise than electrocardiographs. These create a two-dimensional, real-time video image of the cardiovascular system that displays features like the function of the valves in the heart, the contractions of the heart, and blood flow through the arteries.

Digital Radiographs

Radiographs (X-rays) are extremely helpful for diagnosing and monitoring many medical and surgical conditions. Radiographs are useful in examining your pet's bones, lungs, heart, abdomen, oral cavity, and other areas of the body. With the lastest digital technology. a more accurate diagnosis can be made.

Radiographs can spot a fractured bone, detect tumors, help with the diagnosis of heartworm disease, or locate an obstruction or foreign body in the intestine or stomach. When used in conjunction with other diagnostic procedures such as an ultrasound, radiographs can accurately diagnose problems, making treatment faster and easier for your pet and your veterinarian. We also have the ability to have radiographs reviewed by a Board Certified Radiologist.

In-House Ultrasounds

Ultrasound is a pain-free, totally non-invasive technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce a real-time image of your pet's internal organs. Often considered more exact than radiographs, ultrasound provides a movie of what is happening inside the body. We work with Certified Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Johanna Frank from Sound Technologies™ for ultrasound procedures.
